Thrystan Tate (SNSI)
LTJG Thrystan Tate, a native of Houston, TX, and New Orleans, LA, earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources from Liberty University. He began his distinguished Naval career in May 2015, enlisting from the Houston MEPS. Upon completion of Navy Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, IL, LTJG Tate attended Information Systems Technician "A" School at IWTC Corry Station, Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL, earning his rating as an Information Systems Technician (IT).

In January 2016, he reported to NCTAMS PAC in Wahiawa, HI, where he served for nearly three years, playing a pivotal role in critical communication systems operations. Recognized for his leadership potential, LTJG Tate was selected for Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Newport, RI, where he completed his training in July 2019. He then graduated from the Navy Supply Corps School in Newport, RI, specializing in financial and logistics management.

Following his commissioning, LTJG Tate served as the Disbursing Officer and Hazardous Material Officer aboard the USS Iwo Jima in Jacksonville, FL. He later transferred to Commander, Navy Region Southeast, where he took on the role of Galley Programs Training Officer. LTJG Tate also completed a small tour at NAS Joint Reserve Base (JRB) New Orleans as the Food Service Officer, supporting the base’s culinary and operations programs.

After seven years of dedicated service, LTJG Tate retired in July 2022. His career, marked by both enlisted and officer roles, highlights his adaptability and leadership across various assignments.
​
Beyond his Naval career, LTJG Tate is a devoted father to one son, sharing their passion for travel and sports, particularly attending New Orleans Saints games and Formula One races. His personal interests include running events, concerts, and spending quality time with family in Detroit, MI, and Houston, TX.
